ISN announces dissolution

please read an Important announcement from idaho simulation network

September 24, 2019

Dear Colleagues and Friends:

On behalf of the Idaho Simulation Network (ISN) Board of Directors I wish to inform you that the ISN has elected to proceed with dissolution of the organization effective December 31, 2019. There was no single factor that led to this difficult decision. Suffice it to say, the ISN has enjoyed a terrific run beginning in 2007 under the visionary leadership of a group of dedicated believers in the virtues of simulation. We owe a debt of gratitude to every person that has played a leadership role since then.

In the many details that accompany dissolution one that bears bringing to your attention is the termination of the Preferential Vendor Program. Numerous attempts were made to transfer this program to prospective organizations without success. This of course was a great disappointment for us as this has been a highly beneficial program throughout the history of the organization. Our contracts with the Preferential Vendor Group shall terminate on December 31, 2019. If your organization intends to make any purchases from one of our vendors, now would be the time to consider it.

For those of you who may wish to continue having access to simulation resources may we suggest the Pacific Northwest Healthcare Simulation Collaborative or the California Simulation Alliance. Both organizations take great pride in what they have to offer their members.

Finally, we wish to express our profound appreciation for the tremendous support we have received from you as a subscriber organization over the years. We sincerely hope that we have left something of value behind. Best wishes for a successful future in advancing the practice of medicine through simulation.

On behalf of the ISN Board of Directors,

Steve Millard

Chairman
